North Pass Press is an independent publishing house dedicated to restoring historical texts and cultivating thoughtful education. We believe the literature of the past is not merely a collection of relics, but a living inheritance that still has something to say to the modern reader.
We seek out forgotten, neglected, and difficult-to-find works from the English literary and Christian traditions, returning where possible to the earliest or most complete sources available. Our editions combine textual fidelity with careful modern typography, while our educational resources help readers, students, and families engage deeply with literature and history.
Our mission is simple: to preserve what is worth remembering, restore what has been neglected, and place the best of the past back into the hands of modern readers. We hope that this work will encourage curiosity, cultivate careful thought, and help readers find in the inheritance of the past something worth carrying forward.
Morgan Nogradi is the founder and publisher behind North Pass Press. Her work focuses on historical literature, textual restoration, typography, and education, with a particular interest in recovering neglected works and making them accessible to modern readers.
Our most ambitious undertaking is the typographic restoration of John Gill's landmark 18th-century commentaries. By replacing exhausting, multi-column 8pt print with a single-column, larger print reading layout, we are bringing this essential reference work to the modern library in a format designed for continuous study.
